Title: A Celebration of Christmas

Valley and Vale Community Arts have been busy working creatively with the children of Betws Junior School in our village during this festive month, preparing for a Christmas concert to be held at the School on December 12th at 6pm. We asked the children what they liked about Christmas and they said "We love Christmas, it brings midwinter light!"
Our Visual Arts Workers Tim Smith and Alison McGann have been enjoying helping the children create poetry, expressing their feelings at this exciting time of year, and some of these poems will be read by the children at the concert. We are also creating lanterns and artwork with children at the school to display at the concert, which will also include singing from the School Choir, Cor Meibion Cwm Garw, and carol singing from our newly-formed Betws Community Choir.
